The Center for Development and Quality Assurance at Al-Rowad University conducted its first technical review workshop for the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. The workshop, titled "The Productive Workshop: Mission, Goals, and Graduate Attributes," aimed to redefine the academic foundation of the program.

Mission & Strategic Goals: Participants engaged in deep discussions to align the program's mission with the university's strategic vision and global medical education standards.

Graduate Attributes: The workshop defined the core competencies and professional ethics required for dentistry graduates to ensure clinical readiness and community impact.

Stakeholder Engagement: In a significant step toward labor market alignment, Dr. Mushtaq Al-Qabati, Acting Head of the Dentists' Syndicate, participated as a key representative of the professional sector.

Quality Standards: Facilitated by Quality Expert Prof. Abdulqawi Noaman, the session focused on mapping Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs) according to national and international accreditation benchmarks.

Academic Leadership:
Dr. Aaida Al-Shami, Dean of the Quality Center, and Dr. Nashwan Al-Afifi, Head of the Dentistry Department, emphasized that continuous curriculum updates are vital for maintaining the program’s excellence and securing its leading position among dental schools in Yemen.
